Introduction of the High-Wage CRS Calculator
The update was released on November 3, 2026, alongside changes to the CRS by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Changes to the Comprehensive Ranking System
On November 3, 2026, IRCC introduced the Labour Market Integration Factor (LMIF) into the CRS. This new factor awards additional points to candidates with high-wage occupations. Candidates can now earn up to 150 points for Canadian work experience or up to 100 points for a high-wage job offer.
How to Use the CanadaVisa CRS Calculator
To use the new CRS calculator, candidates must create a profile on the CV+ website. Once a profile is completed, the calculator automatically considers factors such as age, education, language proficiency, relatives in Canada, and work experience to compute the CRS score. Existing CV+ users will have their scores updated automatically upon logging in.
